"Leaf"

I got a "leaf" photo (1144685932tJM23P.jpg) from unrecalled site. I started tracing the stem and the leaf using the pen tool and convert point tool.

I had a hard time tapering the parent-stem from base to tip; more so with the child-secondary branches. BTW, I used stroke with the default 1-pt round brush.

On next version, I'll be using my own custom brush to create taperings. Or I'll do the hard way; making tapered shapes with black fills. I don't know.

Nissin Shrimp Mods

Nissin Shrimp Logo Mods

I find interesting modifying the shrimp logo from Nissin Cup Noodle Sotanghon using Adobe Illustrator CS2. I made several "emoti-shrimp" graphics that you can find it here.

Common with vector drawings, I used pen tool/anchor point tool for creating paths; then, applied brush tool with differing properties; then, strokes and fills.


Crying na Shrimp. Variation from a common theme. Eyes and "antennas" were modified. Tears added. Legs drooped.





Combative na Shrimp. Another variation. Eyes and "antennas" modified to "fist" shape.
